DESCRIPTION:Given this increasing growth in Neurodiverse scouts\, your diversity and Inclusion team has developed a training program to assist you and the parents to assist Scout leaders in the units to enable them to support youth members that are neuro divergent across a range of conditions of a genetic\, congenital or acquired nature amongst our youth. We also have a range of guides and plans to support them in the long and short term\, unit capacity questions and parent /carer questions that will assist you in the onboarding of youth with neurodiversity.\nIn Australia\, it is estimated that 15- 20% of children and teenagers in the education system are \nneurodivergent. \nThis includes conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Specifically\, around 3-4% of children are estimated to have ASD\, while 4-11% have ADHD\nThis is a short blurb for the additional needs train trim as necessary For more info\, go to: https://events.nsw.scouts.com.au/event/3265
