Brief Summary:
Traditional South Metropolitan Region Camp with all SMR Scout Troops invited to attend and camp in their respective District camp sites. Activities will be provided by HUBS, Districts of individual Troops. These will be non-adventurous activities, designed, run and coordinated by the respective Scout Leaders.

Region Camp is open to all South Metropolitan Region Scouts, Leaders, Rovers, Venturers & Parent Helpers as required.

NOTE 1: Traditional Visitor's Day (Sunday) will NOT take place this year due to COVID restrictions.

NOTE 2: This Region Camp will NOT be open to other Regions. Parking and traffic - remember we have over 1000 people arriving at camp in a short time frame. Arrival & Drop-Off on the Friday night, (5.00pm onwards) will be at the Car Park, Waterfall Railway Station. Scouts and venturers are encouraged and invited to "Hike into Camp" via the Coutts Track. Alternatively, take the "Shuttle Bus" which will be operating from the station car park to the bottom camp car park. Strict traffic management will be enforced at and on the camp road - no passenger vehicles will be admitted. Leader parking is on the Old Princes Highway as directed by the traffic management team.

NOTE 3: No parking will be allowed in the bottom car park as this will feature static displays from a number of Emergency Services. Camping is in designated District camping areas, each Troop in its own specific Scout Troop sites - defined by District Scout Leader. Scouts must know which District they belong to. Under the supervision of leaders, Scouts will be expected to carry out all duties involved in bush camping such as camp set-up, cooking and general camping duties as determined, and in accordance with established COVID Safe practices. Each scout troop WILL be responsible for maintaining appropriate camping expectations and hygiene, as detailed in the latest update from Scouts NSW. Participants will be camping in tents (imaintaine a distance of 1.5m*) and must be self-sufficient for the entire time. (* as per Scouts NSW) (Registration fee does not include catering)

NOTE 4: We will be camping in the Coutts valley, so expect some cold nights, make sure that you bring sufficient warm clothing and a good quality warm sleeping bag. This camp will feature activities that could involve water, so it is strongly suggested that you bring clothes that could get wet and then a change of clothes if necessary. Sensible footwear is necessary. Activities will include Water related & Abseiling. Abseiling will be available to Scouts only. All contact and inquiries about the camp should be to your own leaders in the first instance. * Please make yourself aware of the requirements as outlined in "Scouts NSW / Scouting Guide to Covid-19"

Scout Troops are encouraged to visit their respective troop camp site and carryout if necessary, any maintenance or clearing that may be necessary
