Pre Cuboree Shakedown

In preparation for Cuboree, Unit E437, along with other Cuboree units from South Metropolitan Region, will be holding a "shakedown" camp.  The purpose is to get to know each other and to get a taste of what Cuboree will be like.

NOTE this is a "compulsory" Camp for Cuboree Attendees.  It is very important for Cub Scouts to get to know the Leaders and vice versa.  Leaders can also see how the Cub Scouts interact and who shows Leadership qualities etc.  

We can also check our gear and give the Cubs a sense of what our site will look like at Cuboree. IF you are unable to attend for a very good reason please discuss with Jacquie Stratford BUT we would encourage EVERYONE to make the effort to at least come for the day on Saturday.

Our unit comprises of Cub Scouts and Leaders from the following Groups;
  • 1st Balmain
  • 1st Leichhardt
  • 1st Drummoyne
  • 2nd Abbotsford

Transport:
Own transport unless facilitated by your Group leaders - car pooling recommended.
Please note our start time of 10.30am, start times are being staggered  to get 400+ into camp in a small time period, so please be on time.
 
Costs (please refer to email for breakdown):
Camp Fee - $80.00 (includes food, camping fee and purchases for the Cuboree, including a Unit Hat)

Please note the following;
  • Full uniform to and from camp
  • If you don't want items to go missing, label ALL ITEMS "<UNIT#> <NAME>"
  • Cubs must pack their own bags so they know what they have and where it is located
  • No electronic devices / phones
  • No pen knives, matches or flints OR lollies in the tents!
  • Wide brim hats and collared shirts required
  • We will provide and allocate tents for Cub Scouts
