Brief Summary:
The NSW Cuboree is a 5 day standing camp for Cub Scouts. It is an amazing event which brings together Cub Scouts from all across NSW! The Cub Scouts will have a really great time and get to make lots of new friends. The upcoming 7th NSW Cuboree "Explore the World" will be held between the 29th September and 3rd October 2023 at Cataract Activity Centre with Day Workers being sought for a maximum of up to 3 days between the 30th Sept and 2nd October. Welcome to the day workers applications page for the 7th NSW Cuboree 2023 - Explore the World!

This application system is for day workers only. Please ensure that you read all of the below information carefully as refunds will not be provided for incorrect applications.

Who is eligblie to come as a Day Worker?

Day worker applictions are for people who:

  • Attend the 2023 Cuboree as a Service Leader working in areas of support such as Administration, Program, Catering or Communications. It is not for people who wish to attend as visitors or as Line Leaders or Adult Helpers working with a Cub Unit.
  • Are willing to attend for a maximum of 3 days between the 30th September and the 2nd October only.
  • Are willing to be on site at Cataract Scout Park between 7:00am and 8:00am each morning and depart the site before 5:30pm each evening.
  • Are willing to travel to and from the event independantly, park in the Cuboree Car Park located near the front gate at the top of the site and walk into the site.
  • Are willing to attend an online induction at 7:30pm on Monday the 25th September 2023.

 

Requirements for Day Workers

  • Must be a member of Scouts NSW (ie Registered in ScoutHub) before the 14th August 2023.
  • Must have completed the following e-learning courses
    • Child-Safe Scouting
    • WHS & Scouting
  • Must be over the age of 18 and hold a valid Working with Children Check and Police Clearence that has been registered with Scouts NSW.
  • Must have completed their registration, e-permission form, and payment before the 14th August 2023.
  • There are limited slots available for Day Workers, which will be allocated on a first completed application, first served manner. The registration system will automatically close once this limit has been reached.

 

What does my $40/day fee cover:

  • Site Hire & Management Costs (eg Cleaning, Car Park, Site Access)
  • Administration Costs (eg Wrist Band, System Fees, Banking Fees)
  • Lunch on each day that you are attending.  (Please bring your own drinks and snacks for Morning and Afternoon Tea)
  • Miscellanious Expenses (eg Consumables, Contingnancy, Other Fees and Charges)

Cuboree merchandise is not covered under your day worker fee. Limited merchandise may be available via Pre-Order and/or on-site at Cuboree at additional expense.

 

Exemptions

Some areas (Such as Opening & Closing Ceremony Performers) may be requested to complete a Day Worker Application for a time and cost outside of the normal parameters. If you are in this situation, please create your registration and provide the required details in the exemptions box. The Cuboree Registrar will assess your registration and liaise with your Director before setting an appropiate cost and directing you to complete your e-permission form.
