If you are looking for Trained Participant (TP) qualification flat water assessment then this is for you.
We will do an assessment of up to 4 hours duration where you will need to demonstrate (without coaching) canoe handling skills to TP level. This includes craft control, keeping up with group pace for 90 minutes and conducting multiple recovery scenarios such as deep water and log roll.
To be TP, you will need to have obtained "TP Core" and "Basic Water Rescues" and an up to date log book with some verifiable canoe trips. While these aren't prerequisites for attendance, preference will be given to people who have these signed off already.
Location will be Appletree Bay.
Own craft, pfd and paddle will be required.
