The State Water Activities Centre (SWASH) is running a Try Sailing Afternoon for members to experience Sailing on Sydney Harbour. They will learn basic sailing techniques as well as build confidence on sailing boats. If you have any questions, please email swash@nsw.scouts.com.au

The purpose of the Try Sailing Afternoon for members to experience Sailing on Sydney Harbour. They will learn basic sailing techniques as well as build confidence on sailing boats. You don’t need any sailing experience to attend. 

 

On the day, remembering you will get wet, you will need to bring: 

  • any medication you require 

  • sunscreen 

  • hat 

  • Lunch of sausage sizzle and drink is provided 

  • water bottle 

  • wear sunsafe clothing (long sleeves recommended) 

  • spray jacket (to keep warm) 

  • wear fully enclosed shoes that will get wet (no crocs, thongs etc) 

  • dry clothes to travel home in 

The Water Activities Centre will provide you with a PFD to wear on the day. 

Activities are subject to suitable weather conditions. If for any reason the event is cancelled, you will be able to rebook or obtain a refund. If you are unable to attend after registering, you will not be entitled to a refund.
