Brief Summary:
Have you ever been told to Get Lost? Have you ever thought about what this could truly mean? In the bush? This experience is for those who can work as a team and help each other to get UNLOST.
Additional Information

Have you ever been lost, really lost? Do you think you could handle it?

LOST Camp is for Venturers, and Rovers  who are skilled in buswalking and navigation. It needs team work and collaboration, supporting the patrol you are added to. ROVERS, we have to have a minimum of 5 Rovers to form a team.

This camp is a navigation and light weight hike experience like you've never done before. It is only for Venturers and Rovers who are confident in the bush and their skills in hiking, navigation and getting found again.

You'll be blindfolded, driven a very long way, dropped in an unknown place in the bush, camp the night then find your way to a secret location. NO navigation aids except old school map and compass (assuming you remember your compass). All electronic devices will be collected from participants at the beginning of the activity, and returned at the end. This includes phones, smart watches etc. If you don't hand it in, you can go home. You'll be cheating yourself and your patrol mates.

There will be heavy leader support and we will track the participants as they proceed. We will provide a tracking device and radios to maintain contact with participants at all times.

Level 4 bushwalking is a minimum requirement, level 5 preferred. Level 3 camping a minimum.

Leader endorsement will be required before you're accepted to participate.

What to pack? Lightweight camping gear for 1 day and 2 nights. This includes:

  • Pack to carry your gear
  • Food for 1 day, 2 nights plus snacks (this means you've got a spare meal)
  • Tent
