Water Activities Day for Venturers

The purpose of the Water Activities Day is to provide registered members with the opportunity to experience canoeing, motor boating and sailing as well as achieving some OAS competencies if you would like. If time and weather permits, you may also get to have a swim at Woolwich Baths. You don’t need to have any experience to attend.

On the day, remembering you will get wet, you will need to bring:

• any medication you require
• sunscreen
• hat
• morning tea
• water bottle
• wear sunsafe clothing (long sleeves recommended)
• spray jacket (to keep warm power boating)
• wear fully enclosed shoes that will get wet (no crocs, thongs etc)
• dry clothes to travel home in

The Water Activities Centre will provide you with a PFD to wear on the day and a sausage sizzle and can of soft drink for lunch as part of the cost.

Activities are subject to suitable weather conditions. If for any reason the event is cancelled, you will be able to rebook or obtain a refund. If you are unable to attend after registering, you will not be entitled to a refund.
