Brief Summary:
This course is designed for Venturer Scouts that are looking at joining their Unit Council and approx. 15 or 16 years old.
Holding the Venturing Skills Award is preferred for this course.
Additional Information
The purpose of the Venturer Leadership course is to equip a Venturer with Leadership Skills for Life; in areas of scouting, school, work, social and personal situations.
Subjects include what is leadership, planning, organisation, time management, delegation, goal setting, decision making, problem solving, communicating, motivating, knowing yourself.
The course is residential (bunk bed accommodation), and there will be a formal dinner on Saturday night (wear full uniform, including decorations such as ASM). On Sunday, you will work in teams on a project and present your recommendations.
