Parramatta District ANZAC Dawn Service

Description:

All Joeys, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers, Rovers and Leaders are welcome to attend. Attendance at the Dawn Service is highly encouraged, and it goes towards the "Their Service - Our Heritage" badge.

The Dawn Service will commence at 4:30am at the Parramatta War Memorial in Prince Alfred Square. The Dawn Service normally takes about 45-50 minutes, depending on the guest speaker and the number of people laying wreaths.

There is no organised march from the Parramatta RSL Club this year.

We will be meeting at the North West corner of Prince Alfred Square near the corner of Victoria Road and Marist Place at 4:20am - refer link below:

Wear:

Full and correct Scout uniform, which means:-

• Scout shirt and scarf
• Stone or beige pants/skirt
• Scout belt or black belt
• Black shoes (e.g. school shoes)

It may be cold so recommend that Scouts also wear thermals under their uniform unless they have a Scout jacket (i.e. non-Scout jackets should not be worn over the uniform for this event).
