Practical Weekend Information

Meeting place and climbing venue for the weekend will be finalised the Thursday night before the event. You will be notified by email of the location for the weekend. Meeting time will be 9:00am.

DO NOT BE LATE. Note it is approximately a 90 minute drive from Sydney.

Final climbing location will be provided prior to the event. Please ensure you arrive at the meeting place with your gear fully packed and ready to climb.

Saturday:
We will be camping overnight most likely at Mt York. Location will be confirmed on the Thursday night before.
Dinner on the Saturday night will be at the Alchemy Pizzeria in Hartley - Pizzas are around $25-$30 (Vegan and Gluten Free options are available).

Bring your camping gear, food for the weekend and plenty of water (my 4WD has a 70 litre tank so I will be able to provide enough for drinking)

There is NO water at the camp site or the local cliffs. Please bring your personal climbing gear and suitable clothing.

Please make sure you bring suitably warm clothing and rain gear - it gets very cold in the Bluies at this time of year. You will also need a LARGE backpack to help carry climbing gear to the cliffs - the backpack should be large enough to carry your personal gear plus ropes, helmets and other climbing gear.

Sunday

On Sunday we will travel to a different climbing area within the Blue Mountains, so private transportation may be required during the course. Transport arrangements will be discussed on the theory night.

Camping equipment will need to be packed before we leave to climb for the day. We will conclude climbing at about 3:00pm and should be home in Sydney North about by 6.30pm.
