Crossing rivers while bushwalking SISOBWG004 

Swift water Rescue

This course will cover the units of competency for the VET module SISOBWG004 as well and the fundamentals of swift water rescue.

This course will be delivered by recently retired  proffesionals from NSW Fire and Rescue who specialised in swift Watr Rescue skills and training.

You will be required to swim and carry a pack in fast flowing water up to your mid thigh. Expect to be swept off your feet at some time during the day.

What you will need on the day

  1. Swimmers and towel
  2. Bushwalking pack 
  3. Water shoes or boots that you are happy to get wet
  4. Lunch
  5. Pen and paper
  6. A sense of adventure and a good attitude
