Heathcote station loop - Camping at Kingfisher Pools

Grade 4, 20km

Meeting at Heathcote station on Sat at 9am. On the highway side of the station.

Starting at Heathcote station we will walk down the bullwaring track to Kingfisher pools and camp there the night.

On the second day we will continue to Waterfall Station and cross over the highway to return to Heathcote down the kangaroo creek track and back up at Karloo pools to return to Heathcote station by 4pm Sunday.

This is a light weight camping trip and you will need to carry your own gear including a tent, sleeping bag, cooking equipment, and food for 2 days. If you are coming with a friend you may arrange to share a tent and other equipment. NOTE: You should not be carrying more than 20% of your body weight, excluding water.

Creek and tank water will need to be treated before use, so you will need a way to boil water even if you are planning cold meals.

Scout uniform is not required. There may be opportunities for swimming so a towel and swimwear is encourage (there are no change rooms so take ease of changing into account)
