Additional Information

This is not a workshop for novice abseilers, rather an event to assist those with exising qualifications to transfer to the new curriculum.  We will cover the knowledge elements on Saturday morniing and then work through the elements of VET Module SISORSC002.  This will include hauling systems, raise and lower rescues, self rescues, types and use of fixed and artificial achors, escape from a loaded  belay, prusick up, down, transfer to another rope etc. Applicants are expected to have their own abseil gear at this level..  Ropes, slings etc will be provided. The activity will operate under COVID restrictions that are in place at the time of the event. Self catering for all meals and single tent usage for those who elect to camp overnight rather than leaving and returning Sunday.

The course has two structures

Both Saturday and Sunday for those who do not hold SISORSC002 (Perform Vertical Rescues) $20

Just the Sunday for those who need to do a refresher and already hold SISORSC002 (Perform Vertical Rescues) $10
