Additional Information

This workshop is designed for people who have existing canyoning experience and already hold or are working towards Abseiling Trained Participant. The outcomes are linked to the units "Abseil in Easy to Intermediate Canyons" and "Establish Ropes and Belays in Easy to Intermediate Canyons" and evaluates canyoning skills up to FFME canyon grade v3a3.

Note - you will need to attain the "Peform Vertical Rescues" unit separately. (See SNR Abseil Rigging & Rescue workshop for this).

 

Saturday Theory Day is a PREREQUISITE for all participants.
Commences at 8:00am sharp and finishes at 5:00pm.

Please ensure you can be picked up no later than 5:10pm.

Location - Barra Brui Scout Hall - Off Hunter Avenue, St Ives. (The what3words address is pints.makes.atomic)

Sunday Practical Day - Macquarie Pass Canyon

Commences 8:00am sharp and expected finish time is 5pm.

Meeting Location - Casscades Picnic Area - Macquarie Pass NSW.
DO NOT BE LATE (from Hornsby this is a 2 hour drive which means a 6am departure or as per your start point).


EQUIPMENT AND GEAR LISTS including any clothing and specific food requirements for the weekend will be provided prior to the event.

If you feel that the participant is overdue in returning from the activity you should contact the nominated emergency contact.
