Brief Summary:
The 1st Ermington Scout Group is organising this Kangaroo Valley Loop Adventurous Journey (3 Days, 2 Nights) to support a scout completing her Adventurous Journey for the Australian Scout Award during the October Labour Day long weekend. Please note the activity is planned and led by a youth working for the Peak Award. This walk will be a loop and so will start and end at the same location.
Additional Information

Starting from the Kangaroo Valley Hydro Plant, the hike will go up through pristine bushland and awe-inspiring vistas of the valley to join with the East Rim Track and its many vantage points of the famous Twin Falls. We will spend the first night at Fitzroy Falls. Next morning we will walk along the West Rim Track and sample the splendour of the gorgeous Twin Falls and Kangaroo Valley from its many lookout points then meander its way over the escarpment to the Gales Flat campground for the second night. On the third day, we will walk down into the picturesque valley and out again to return to our starting point.

We will be hiking through pristine bushland with stunning landscapes from high atop escarpments to gorgeous waterfalls, and places of national heritage significance. You will get a chance to be immersed in five or six completely different types of landscape, and spot all sorts of native species, flowers and some cute critters.

Scouts and Ventures are welcome; however, previous lightweight camping, bushwalking experience, and good fitness are required. OAS Camping Stage 3, Bushwalking Stage 3 and above is required. The $20 Camping fee is non-refundable.

More details will be made available when ready.

Note: The $20 deposit is due to camp bookings that will need to made and paid for prior to the hike. This fee will need to be deposited into the 1st Ermington Bank Account via Bank Transfer. The cost of food and incidentals will be known closer to the event date and will be notified during the Online Theory sessions.
