This event is open for registered Joeys only.
Come and join us for the Hume Region Joeys OAS Bushcraft S1 & Campfire Day in the lovely Cobbitty countryside. We will have bases set-up for the Joeys to learn some OAS Bushcraft skills with afternoon tea provided. Later we will construct and light a campfire, there maybe some campfire singing! Dinner will be a BBQ sausage sizzle. Attending Joeys will receive a kangaroo-printed carry bag with colouring pens to decorate, a 2024 Scout's Campfire camp blanket badge and some OAS Bushcraft skills. Registration is password protected
WEAR: Joey Scout shirt and scarf, warm long pants, warm jumper, sunhat (bring a beanie for evening), socks and sturdy enclosed footwear (runners or hiking boots).
BRING: Full water bottle, warm jacket/raincoat in small backpack. warm beanie, campfire blanket (preferably wool or wool mix) and a camp chair if desired.
COST: Joeys $13 (afternoon tea, sausage sizzle, camp-blanket badge and kangaroo-printed carry bag with colour textas). Adult Helpers and Leaders $6.50 (afternoon tea and sausage sizzle).
Some Adult Helpers maybe required and must be preferrably A2 Scout Registered (or complete a M5 Prohibited Employment Declaration form: https://nsw.scouts.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/M5_ProhibitedEmploymentDeclaration_Apr15.pdf ) Please check with your Joey Leader.
The E-Permission form (emailed to you after registering) is to be submitted for each Joey/Adult Helper/Leader attending. Please ensure medical information and emergency contact details (someone NOT attending the activity) are complete and accurate. Also you must tick the activities for your child to participate.
**We will be following NSW Health Covid safe protocols. Should you have flu-like symptoms, please stay home and get tested. Should you be a close contact, it is recommended that you bring and wear a face mask whilst indoors or if unable to socially distance outdoors.**
