Brief Summary:
A fabulous beginners canyon adventure down the lower section of the mighty Wollangambie River. No abseils and absolutely suitable for Scouts, Venturers and Rovers. All you need is a lilo and a sense of adventure!!
Additional Information

All participants must bring with them a day pack containing:

2 litres water

Lunch and snacks.

Rain Shell/Jacket  (NOT a thin Raincoat or poncho!)

Sturdy non-slip shoes  (Dunlop Volleys preferred!). 

**Wetsuit  & Thermal Top**

Lilo or other floatation device

Swimmers

Sun Hat & Sunscreen

Small first aid kit

Woolen jumper or fleece

10-15 litre Dry Bag or 3 strong plastic bags for waterproofing clothes and food

Camera or “Go-Pro” (waterproofed!)

Spare change of shoes, socks, clothes and a towel 

 

Helmets will be provided for all participants; however you are encouraged to bring your own gear.

 

Note:  The canyon involves long periods in cold deep water where we will be floating down the river. Participants need to be competent swimmers and MUST  have a floatation device to lie upon.
