Description:

Jamboree Shakedown Camp is mandatory for all Scouts and Venturers attending AJ2025.
The purpose of the shakedown camp is to form the Jamboree Patrols and assign their PL and APLs, determine tent allocations, check all of the Unit gear, practice setting up patrol tents, and manage meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning.
 

Activities:

Scouts will be undertaking a range of activities, including:

  • team building activities/games

  • campfire 

  • bushwalk

 

Wear:

  • Scout uniform

  • Hat 

 

Bring:

Overnight bag/pack containing:

  • hike tent

  • sleeping bag

  • sleeping mat

  • spare clothing (incl. warm clothing) for 2 days

  • rain coat

  • torch/headlamp

  • mess kit (plate, bowl, cup, knife, fork & spoon) + tea towel

  • personal toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, sunscreen, insect repellent, etc)

  • water bottle
