GROUP: Cockatoo Island Camp

Pack your gear and prepare for an adventure back in time to the convict era as we set sail for Cockatoo Island! This historic island, once a penal establishment, will be our playground for two days of exploration, learning, and fun. Get ready for a weekend of discovery and adventure, experiencing what life was like for the convicts who once called this island home. This is not just a camp; it's a journey through history that you won't forget.

What to Expect:

• Historic Exploration: We'll walk the paths once trodden by convicts and explore the sites where they were held prisoner. Learn about their daily lives, the work they did, and the harsh conditions they endured.
• Fun Fact: Did you know Cockatoo Island is the largest island in Sydney Harbour and was once used as a shipbuilding site? It's a UNESCO World Heritage site due to its historical significance in Australia's convict history
   

Uniform: Wear your scout uniform and scarf to and from the island.

Meals: Please ensure you have dinner before attending (or bring dinner along to eat on the island!)

• On Arrival: Supper
• Day One: Breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, supper
• Day Two: Breakfast, morning tea, lunch

You are welcome to head into the island anytime from 2:30pm - 7:00pm.
