Overnight bushwalk to Blue Gum Forest

Proposed start location Evans Lookout, Blackheath

Sat 5th Oct and Sun 6th Oct 2024

Camping at Acacia Flat, refill water form Grose River (water treatment required)

Bush toileting and hygiene applies. A toilet may be available at the campsite.

Day 1 Horse Track to Junction Rock, Grose River Walking Track to Blue Gum Junction

Day 2 Exit via Perrys Lookdown Track and Perrys Lookdown and Hat Hill Road.

Alternate routes return via same route or reverse the route.

A hard-grade overnight walk from Blackheath to Blue Gum Forest. This is not suitable for beginner participants. There will be extended steep sections. Please email tristan.flores@nsw.scouts.com.au with details of similar walks you have attended for suitability check.

Please note this is not suitable for beginner participants. This is hard grade with extended steep sections. A high level of fitness and endurance is required. You need to be able to pack light.
