Brief Summary:
Develop basic snorkelling skills and confidence in the open water. Also, there is a rock pool where novice participants can practice swimming and snorkelling.
Additional Information

There will be a $15 (for the Course material and BBQ lunch) per person cost for the activity. Siblings of the participating Scouts are welcome to join as long as parents supervise them. 

Depending on the confidence and skills of the scouts, we will conduct Open water snorkelling sessions at Clovelly Beach.

Develop basic snorkelling skills, including how to select the correct equipment. Removing water from the snorkel, clearing flooded masks, ear equalising techniques and duck diving

Please arrive on time at 8:30 am!

Please bring your own gear for snorkelling. 

What to Bring:

  • Dry bag/Day pack
  • A hat
  • 2L of Water 
  • Weatherproof jacket 
  • Swimwear
  • Towel and Changing clothes
  • Snorkelling gear set (Mask, Snorkel and Fins) - DO NOT BRING FULL-FACE SNORKELING MASK
  • Snacks and lunch.
  • Sunscreen
  • Small-size first aid kit
  • Insect repellent spray
  • Enclosed shoes (aquatic shoes or suitable old shoes)

You DO NOT have to wear a Scout Uniform for this activity.
