Brief Summary:
Joey scouts will receive instruction in paddling skills & safety and participate in a short canoeing trip (approximately 1 hour). The North Harbour Scout Water Base (NHSWB) team will cover the canoeing aspects of OAS Paddling Stage 1; joeys will have the opportunity to demonstrate basic water safety skills and so qualify fully for Paddling Stage 1. There will be 3 sessions throughout the day; each 1.5 to 2 hours duration. Attendees are limited to a maximum of 30 joeys per session. One adult will be required to accompany 2 joeys in each canoe Closed shoes and a hat are mandatory (youth & adults). Shoes and clothing are almost certain to get wet. Bring water, change of clothing, towel, snack (if wanted)
Additional Information

Please wear closed shoes & wear clothes that are likely to get wet. MUST have a hat.
Bring a water bottle (a water filling station is available on site), snack if wanted
