Description:
All Joeys, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers, Rovers and Leaders are welcome to attend. Attendance at the ANZAC Day March & Dawn Service is highly encouraged, and it goes towards the "Their Service - Our Heritage" badge.
The ANZAC Day March commences at the Parramatta Town Hall. Members are required to arrive by 3:45am to allow the various participants to be organised and ready to commence at 4am.
Members who do not want to participate in the ANZAC Day March can go directly to the ANZAC Day Dawn Service, which will commence at approximately 4:30am at the Parramatta War Memorial in Prince Alfred Square. The Dawn Service normally takes about 45-50 minutes, depending on the guest speaker and the number of people laying wreaths.
After the Dawn Service the march will finish at Club Parramatta (the former Parramatta RSL Club).
Meeting location:
We will be meeting on the grass in front of St. Johns Anglican Cathederal, which is opposite Parramatta Town Hall.
Wear:
Full and correct Scout uniform, which means:-
It may be cold so recommend that Scouts also wear thermals under their uniform unless they have a Scout jacket (i.e. non-Scout jackets should not be worn over the uniform for this event).
