Introduction to Paddling for Joeys & Cubs
This session is designed for Joeys and Cubs with little or no paddling experience. Come and learn to paddle on the calm waters of the Hacking River in a canoe, and work towards your Paddling OAS Levels 1 & 2.
What You’ll Learn
Participants will cover the basics of a canoe trip, water safety, and key signals used on the river.
The Paddle
We’ll paddle across the river into Muddy Creek, a small, protected waterway. Bring a snack to enjoy morning tea in your canoe. Depending on the group’s pace, we may reach the end of the creek.
