John Moyle Field Day Contest

The aim is to encourage and provide familiarisation with portable and field operations, and provide training for emergencies. The rules are therefore specifically designed and focused to encourage field operations.

The Field Day will be held over the weekend of the 15th-16th March 2025 and ran from UTC 0100 on the Saturday to 0059 on the Sunday. 

Other activities throughout the weekend, Fox Hunt, Radio Training, Experience using HF, Building and Erecting Antennas in the wild up trees etc.

The weekend is self-supplied camping and self-catered, Bring your radios and antennas if you have them or just come along for the fun. Camp bookings via HUME Region Scout Office direct, enrolment in this event will NOT be a camp booking. It is only ensuring you have a space for the Amateur Radio Weekend.

If you don’t have an Amateur Radio Callsign but are interested this would be a great opportunity to come along, play radio and even site the Foundation Certificate exam on the Sunday as part of the weekend.

No Cost for the FUN Amateur Radio Weekend, just the camping fee’s for Glenfield Scout Activity Centre.
