Units make their own way to Putney Beach. The new swim site includes a netted swim enclosure, outdoor shower facilities and easy access to the foreshore. You may like to catch the ferry and walk or drive and park in the parking area near the giant slide. The walk from Kissing Point Ferry Wharf is just under 1 km.
Joeys come with swimmers and rash vest under uniform. Wear a hat. Water shoes or old joggers that can get wet are a must. No Crocs, gum boots, sandals or thongs. Bring your own snack for afternoon tea, water bottle, sunscreen and a towel. You may need a warm jumper to wear at the conclusion of swimming activities.
Parts of Outdoor Adventure Skills (OAS) Stage 1 Aquatics and some small parts of other OAS will be covered. This activity could be part of Special Interest Area – Adventure and Sport.
