Brief Summary:
All Guides Vertical Currency Performance Check Workshop
All Guides required to attend at least once every two (2) years.
Attendees will be able to practice and demonstrate the vertical skills required of a guide including time for vertical rescue skills both lowering and raising of rescuee’s.
Note this is not about removing qualifications but about ensuring we have practiced our setup and rescue skills using the latest techniques and can complete in a timely manner.
Additional Information
A bi-annual vertical rescue currency performance check. All Vertical Guides must complete this every two years. This covers the various skills and knowledge we don't usually use on a regular basis, eg Rescue skills.
Attendees will have the opportunity to practice first or go straight into the currency check.
Bring your abseiling gear as needed, group gear (eg ropes and rigging) will be provided. THere are no shops nearby so BYO drinks and food for the day.
This event requires a reasonable level of fitness to complete the required tasks.
