This introduction to caving will be conducted over 2 days. As this activity is based in a bush setting next to Isaac Creek, there are no facilities provided. Creek water is not always drinkable. Each applicant needs to be aware of the issues around toileting in a bush setting.
Participant needs to bring suitable camping gear and ensure that they have suitable food, snacks and drinking water for the entire activity.
Camping on the Friday night is a good idea due to the start time. Camping and Scout supervision is the responsibility of the individual Unit Leaders. Coordinating the transport etc is the responsibility of the participant.
Pre requisites: NIL
Equipment: All applicants will need access to a helmet (a 4 point attachment or rock activity), (a suitable harness, not needed for beginners this trip) and sturdy footwear.
It is suggested that all participants wear overalls during the caving activity. If you don't have access to overalls then long trousers and a shirt that tucks in is OK. Region can provide helmets and harness if needed. You will also need to bring 3 sources of light. Region can supply helmets and harness. # sources of light to be supplied by participants. Bring spare batteries. Glow sticks, candles etc are suitable for the second and third source of light.

Note: There is a long walk / scramble to get to the caves so suitable clothes and foot wear for this walk is also required.
