At the time of creating this event the Greenway is still in construction, but it should be finished byt September. I'm so excited! As a local person to the Greenway, this has been a long time coming.
The GreenWay is an environmental and active travel corridor linking the Cooks River at Earlwood with the Parramatta River at Iron Cove.
It mostly follows the route of the Inner West Light Rail and Hawthorne Canal and features bike paths and foreshore walks, cultural and historical sites, cafes, bushcare sites and a range of parks, playgrounds and sporting facilities.

This will be an out-and-back style ride, not a loop. It is mostly flat. Even better: if you don't have the energy to ride back, you can catch the light rail!

We will meet at Ewen Park on Tennent Parade in Hurlstone Park (https://maps.app.goo.gl/w8QnL6jz5FLcnXVQ9) and ride from Cooks River to Iron Cove and back again. You/we can stop at any time and return, or you can catch the light rail with your bike, which runs by the side of the path.
You will need to bring the following for the ride:
Since we will be riding over lunch time you may want to think about bringing lunch too. There is a bbq and lunch area along with toilet facilities.
Scout uniform is not required, but I'm proud to wear mine :)
