Additional Information

The Narrabeen Lagoon Trail is an enjoyable 8.4 kilometre track around Narrabeen Lakes, suitable for cyclists. Its flat terrain makes it accessible for everyone, with a series of  boardwalks, bridges and tracks  winding around the shoreline.

It is a fantastically beautiful ride - but it can get busy with lots of pedestrians. This ride we will be going careful and slowly and enjoying the scenary.

8.4km can be a bit of a long ride for the smaller scouts, and there are no shortcuts. Please come prepared with extra motivational snacks if this applies to you.

We will meet at Narrabeen Lakes Sailing Club (https://maps.app.goo.gl/pwkd5Ksc6dRHKKwS9) -

However parking is limited and expensive! If parking out of the park, please come early to meet us that the correct time.

We can also work on some OAS ticks (for the Joeys/Cubs/Scouts/Venturers) and trained participant ticks for the leaders if you are interested. Please let me know

Please let me know if you would like any adjustments or need to let us know about conditions that would impact on the running of the trip - there is a question section for that.

There is a chance of getting wet on this ride. Please come prepared

We will meet at Allen Street Reserve at Allen Street in Homebush.

(The parking is free there, and we get to ride past a fantastic wetland area)

You will need to bring the following for the ride:

  • A safe and functioning bicycle
  • An approved bicycle helmet that fits
  • Enclosed shoes
  • Water and snacks
  • Sun protection (sunscreen and hat if we stop riding)
  • Other items (like small first aid kit, bicycle repair kit etc if you have them)

Since we will be riding over lunch time you may want to think about bringing lunch too

Joeys/Cubs/Scouts/Venturers are recommended to wear their uniform shirt to the event
