Beginner day bushwalks @ Bundeena

Prerequisites: OAS bushwalking and camping stages 1 & 2. This is not suitable as a first time camp, need to have already completed 2 nights camping.

All youth and adults require a current Scouts NSW membership number. All adults on site must be registered with Scouts NSW. 

Child safety is our number one priority at Scouts NSW. Therefore, all Adult Helpers are thoroughly screened, undergo a Police Check, must hold a valid, verified Working With Children Check and undertake two online training modules to ensure the safety of our youth members.

Option to join for single days or complete weekend + camping.

Train services available to Cronulla Station

9 am for 9:30 departure Option to travel on Ferry from Tonkin St Wharf, Cronulla to Bundeena Wharf

10 am Walk from Bundeena Wharf to Bonnie Vale campground

10:30 am Set up camp

Day walkers meet @ Bonnie Vale campground 11 am

Approx. 11:30 am to 5:30 pm Saturday bushwalk east section of the heritage walk

5:30 pm onwards showers, set up bedding, prepare for dinner

Option to walk to the local shops for dinner and play in the park

9 am Day walkers meet @ Bonnie Vale campground

Approx. 9 am to 1 pm Sunday bushwalk west section of the hertitage walk

1 pm to 3 pm Pack up camp, walk up the road from Bonnie Vale campground to Bundeena Wharf.

3 pm Option to travel on Ferry from Bundeena Wharf to Tonkin St Wharf, Bundeena

Train services available from Cronulla Station

Information

Walk on pavement, bush track, rock shelf and beach. Some stairs and uneven sections, includes flat, uphill and downhill.

Sun protection and hydration. Some sections are exposed to the sun and wind.

A swim may be possible if conditions are safe and appropriate supervision can be provided.

Please note minimum noise within the camping ground, requirements apply after dinner

Public transport and limited parking outside the campground is available.

Bring your own ferry money (opal card not available), day pack or overnight pack, sleeping bag, tent, food, clothing and toiletries. Drinking water, toilets and showers available.
