Brief Summary:
The 1st Winston Hills Scout Group is organising this Woy Woy to Wondabyne 3 Day, 2 Night hike to support a Scout completing his Adventurous Journey for the Australian Scout Award during the July School Holidays. This activity is planned and led by a youth working for the Peak Award. The activity will start from and end at Epping Station.
Additional Information

Scouts will be dropped by parents at Epping train station at 7:00am. Scouts will catch the train to Woy Woy station where the hike will start.  Scouts will hike into Brisbane Water National Park. Campsite for both nights will be Scout Camp Kariong. Each day will involve a different route through bush tracks with some grade 4 and 5 tracks. Day 3 will finish with scouts catching a train from Wondabyne Train station to Epping train station and parent pick up will be from Epping train station at 3:59pm.

In addition to the items in the packing list, bring an Opal card with at least $10 in it and Additional money to spend for any post hike treats.

Scouts are welcome to register; however, previous lightweight camping, overnight bushwalking experience, and good fitness are required. OAS Camping Stage 3 and Bushwalking Stage 4 and above are mandatory.

Attendence at the following preparatory sessions are mandatory:

  1. Online planning session on Sunday 23/06 @ 8:00pm.
  2. In-person bag check/weighing session and gear food distribution on Monday 30/06 @ 7:00pm at the 1st Winston Hills Scout Hall.

The cost of food and incidentals will be known closer to the event date and will be notified during the Online Theory session.

This hike will be remotely supervised by Scout Leaders.
