The course format assumes the Venturer has a reasonable amount of venturing experience and knowledge.
There is no lower age limits set for this course. However, the course is pitched at Venturers with a reasonable amount of experience and knowledge. It is assumed the level of maturity to match this experience and knowledge is present.
The course is conducted, in the main, indoors.
All meals are provided (course fee includes meals). Please bring a mess kit (cup, plates, cutlery, tea towel).
All participants are to have breakfast prior to attending the course as meals will only be catered for from Saturday lunch.
Accommodation will be in tents. This means you will need to bring a tent. Tenting will be ONE person per tent.
Accommodation does NOT include personal sleeping gear. This means you will need to bring pillow and sleeping bag or equivalent.
There is a formal dinner held on the Saturday evening. Formal means participants wearing their Scout Uniform.
Saturday night formal dinner may be held at a local club. On registering for your child to attend, you also give permission for your child to be driven both to and from the local club for the formal dinner on the Saturday night by one of the leaders or whoever the course leader deems appropriate.
Uniform to be worn at opening parade and closing parade.
May change out of uniform after opening parade.
