Camp Overview
Roventure is held yearly in South Met and is designed as a camp for Venturers to participate in, run by Rovers. The core intent is to provide Venturers an opportunity to interact together, social and in souting principles.
ALL PARTICIPANTS need to registered and have all mandatory modules (age appropriate) completed to attend. All members over 18 must have a WWC.
As per Scouts NSW policy, >18 adults are to sleep / tent separately from youth members. Tents are to seperated by gender.
Activities will include: Water activities at Gunnamatta Bay, including Canoeing, Kayaking, Sailing, Swimming, Snorkelling. On the Sunday we will be at Heathcote and there will be a wide range of round robin activities run by the different Rover Units in South Metropolitan Region. There will also be various night activities on the Friday and Saturday nights.
Camping Arrangements
All members will be in single sex, youth only tents.
Adult males and females cannot sleep in the same tent.
Venturers are not permitted in any adult tents.
Amenities Arrangements
• There will be Youth Toilets based at the main toilets at Heathcote Scout Camp, adults will use the toilets in the Activity Hut. Separating Youth and Adult toilets is a key priority.
Catering
All meals will be provided during the camp. Please ensure that any allergy information is included in your online application. Our catering team must know ahead of time what food is required.
Refund Policy
Refunds for people who withdraw before the 7th of November will incur a $10 fee. Refunds for after the 7th of November will incur a $30 fee. Any refund requests after the closing date will result in no refund unless there are documented exceptional circumstances (minus the $10 fee). If a youth member is sent home from the event for any reason, no refund will be given.
