Brief Summary:
DUE TO OVERWHELMING DEMAND AN AFTERNOON SESSION HAS BEEN ADDED. A Minimum of 15 people are required to run this event. Respond First Aid Pty Ltd is a RTO accreditated to deliver HLTDOI011 'Provide First Aid'. This course is available to SCOUTS (11-15) and preference will be given to Scouts from Parramatta District. Please contact: stevan.glanville@nsw.scouts.com.au if you are out of District, but interested in attending. Limited registrations available.

The Australian Resuscitation Council recommend that basic life support (CPR/Defib) should be refreshed annually and the Provide First Aid certification is vailid for a 3 year period. 
 
What do I need to do?
 
Once you have completed your EMS registration/e-permission and made payment:
 
  • You will need to register for for A Unique Student Identification (USI) this can be done here if you don't already have one.  https://www.usi.gov.au/providers/create-usi-student  you will need this number to register for the coursework component of this course.
  • You will need to register to access the online coursework. (A link will be sent once you are processed through EMS and placement confirmed).

 

This online coursework is self paced with a multiple choice exam at the end. These are a pre-requisite for attending the practical session.

Please note: Refunds will not be available after the coursework link has been sent. If for any reason you cannot attend the practical session, you may be able to complete this in 2026 (providing evidence that you have completed the pre-requiste work).

On the day:

Wear: Group Scarf with comfortable shoes & warm clothing

 
Bring: Pen, Paper/Notebook & Clipboard, Drink Bottle, Snacks and Lunch, hand sanistiser.
