A weekend for region Cubs to experience canoeing and abseiling together.
Additional Information

We’re excited to invite Cub Scouts to a fun-filled weekend of abseiling and canoeing, run by the North West Region Team.

Cost:

$50.00 per person. This covers all camp fees and catering from Saturday breakfast to Sunday breakfast. Please remember to bring your own dinner for Friday night.

Help Needed

We warmly invite Leaders and Rovers who hold a current qualification in abseiling or canoeing to assist with running the activities. Your help ensures the weekend is safe and enjoyable for all our Cubs.

Who Needs to Complete the Form?

Everyone attending must complete and return the event form by Friday 10 October 2025.
Unfortunately, no form means you won’t be able to participate in the activities.

Catering Details

Friday Night Dinner: Please bring your own meal.

Catering Provided: From Saturday breakfast through to Sunday breakfast for all registered participants.

Supervision

Home Leaders are asked to supervise their own Cubs outside of activity times, especially in the evenings.

Travel Arrangements

This E1 form covers only the canoeing and abseiling activities.
Groups should organise travel separately and submit a travel-specific E1 form through their own Scout Group.

Gear List – What to Pack

Please bring the following items to ensure you're comfortable and prepared for all activities:

General Camp Gear:

  • Clothing for 2 days + warm jumper
  • Raincoat or wind jacket
  • Enclosed shoes or hiking boots
  • Tent and bedding
  • Sleeping gear (sleeping bag and/or blanket)
  • Mess kit and tea towel
  • Personal first aid kit
  • Flashlight with extra batteries
  • Toiletries and towel
  • Water bottle
  • Handkerchiefs

Water Activities Gear:

  • Long-sleeved swimming shirt
  • swimmers / board shorts 
  • Towel
  • Sunscreen
  • Water-safe shoes

Each Group must supply their own:

  • Canoes
  • Paddles
  • PFDs (life jackets)
