We’re excited to invite Scouts, Vennies and Rovers to a fun-filled weekend of canoeing and kayaking, run by the North West Region Team.

Cost: $30.00 per participant and supporting leaders. This covers campsite and region fees.

This high-energy weekend will be packed with water-based fun including:

  • Canoeing and kayaking
  • Night canoeing on Saturday evening
  • Skill-building challenges
  • Friendship, fun and teamwork

Who Can Attend?

Scouts, Venturers, Rovers, and Leaders from all sections.

Badge Work Opportunities

  • Paddling Stage 3 & 4 – Canoeing
  • Paddling Stage 4 – Kayaking

Perfect for Scouts working on Outdoor Adventure Skills.

Registration Details

Everyone attending must complete and return the event form by Sunday 2 November 2025.
Unfortunately, no form means you won’t be able to participate in the activities.

Catering & Cooking

Self-catered – Each Troop must bring their own food, cooking equipment, and drinking water.

Water will be available for washing up only.

Please note: There will be no access to the camp kitchen for cooking.

Accommodation

All Scouts and Leaders will sleep in tents. Please ensure your group is fully equipped for outdoor camping.

What to Bring
General Camp Gear:

  • Clothing for 2 days + warm jumper
  • Raincoat or wind jacket
  • Sturdy shoes or hiking boots
  • Sleeping gear (sleeping bag, blanket, etc.)
  • Mess kit with tea towel
  • Flashlight with extra batteries
  • Personal first aid kit
  • Toiletries and towel
  • Water bottle
  • Wide brim hat 

Water Activity Gear:

  • Long-sleeved swimming shirt
  • swimmers / board shorts 
  • Towel
  • Shoes suitable for water activities
  • Sunscreen
  • Cheap sunglasses (optional)

Each group must bring their own:

  • Canoes
  • Kayaks
  • Paddles
  • PFDs (life jackets)
