This workshop will present Scouts/Venturers/Leaders with knowledge and skill development opportunities for OAS Paddling stage 3-5 progressions and collect evidence for inland flat-water canoe or kayak qualifications (Safe Participant, Trained Participant) Develop confidence in Paddling activities. 

Develop paddling skills, including forward and reverse paddle, forward and reverse sweeps, stern rudder, low support, and emergency stop. Also, we will practice canoe rafting and exchange passengers and Captize and deep water rescue and other water rescue methods.

Depending on the confidence and skills of scouts, we will paddle a small journey on the Creek. We can make this path as short or as long as we think it is appropriate.

Optional Camping for Scout and Leaders along with evening Canoe tour. (Start at Saturday 4:00pm)
