Brief Summary:
One of the most scenic bushwalks in the Blue Mountains. Intro to bushwalking - Day 2 - Navigation day hike. Suitable for Scouts & older. Navigation challenges using map, compass, GPS. Hone your navigation skills, building on learning from Day 1.

Experience the grandeur of one of the most spectacular valleys in the Blue Mountains from Lockleys Pylon.

Hone your skills in map reading, map & compass, taking bearings, using GPS.

What to bring: day pack with lunch, snacks & drink. Compass & GPS if possible.

Suitable for scouts & older completing bushwalking OAS 3-5. Suitable for navigation portion of Trained Participant bushwalking quals.

Depending on leader numbers, some youth may work in patrols without leaders directly supervising.

Location: Lockley's Pylon carpark, Mount Hay Rd, Leura. Tar road becomes a dirt road. Follow dirt road about 7km to Lockley's Pylon carpark.
