Operation Adventure 2026

Get ready for a weekend packed with adventure, challenge and fun!

Operation Adventure is an exciting activity camp for Scouts and Venturer Scouts, bringing together young people from across the region to experience some of Scouting's most popular adventurous activities. Whether you're looking to challenge yourself, learn new skills, or simply have a great weekend with friends, this camp has something for everyone.

Participants will rotate through three major activity bases across the weekend:

  • Vertical Activities – Experience the thrill of climbing and abseiling while developing confidence and teamwork.

  • Mountain Biking – Hit the trails and build your riding skills on an exciting off-site mountain biking adventure.

  • Archery & Orienteering – Test your aim, navigation and problem-solving skills through a combination of archery and outdoor challenge activities.

To maximise activity time, participants will be divided into three groups and rotate through each activity base over the course of the weekend.

On Saturday evening, everyone will come together for a Survival Shelter Challenge, where patrols will work together to construct shelters using natural materials and equipment they have brought along. Participants will even have the option of spending the night in their shelter if they choose!
