Brief Summary:
The Scout Youth Council decided that the District Xmas Event for 2025 would be the Raw Challenge at Doyalson.
The Raw Challenge is a permanently established obstacle course designed to test your limits. The obstacles involve running (at your discretion), climbing, crawling, hanging, sliding and wading. As they go about completing the course, Scouts/Venturers will not only have a fantastic time, but also build valuable life skills including:
Self Confidence;
Problem Solving;
Balance & Co-ordination;
Communication;
Endurance; and
Team Work.
Additional Information
Scout/Venturers will arrive from 10:30am, and start the course at 11:00am. The course will take approximately 2 hours. Following completion of the course we will serve sausage sandwiches and drinks for lunch. Parents can collect their youth members from 1:30pm.
There are showers and change facilities available after the event.
Please arrive at the Raw Challenge with the following:
- dressed in clothing that can get wet and muddy.
- wearing enclosed shoes (that can also get wet and muddy)
- hat
- sunscreen
- water bottle
- towel
- change of clothes
- COMPLETED WAIVER - NOTE: if you do not complete the waiver you will not be able to particpate. The waiver is available in the Event Documents or on the Raw Challenge website.
