Youth Pathway Scouting Essentials (Youth Members - Rovers & Venturers) - Baden-Powell Activity Centre

This course is designed for experienced Youth members or those that have completed Milestone 2 or 3.

You must meet the following 3 pre-requisites BEFORE APPLYING FOR THE COURSE:

1. 1. Completed Scouting Preliminary On Demand Training
   2. Completed Scouting Essentials On Demand Training
   3. You MUST have either a Queen Scout Award or Kings Scout Award, or Baden-Powell Scout Award – and be able to provide a photo of you receiving the award

OR 

      3. You must be able to submit documents relating to the below:

• • • Understanding of the Youth Program
      • Completion of Milestone 2 or 3, please supply your Scouts Terrain profile or a signed record book or details of someone that can verify your program experience and the completion of these milestones.
    • Unit management and program delivery
      • Participation as a Unit Council member – please supply your Scouts Terrain profile or a signed record book or details of someone that can verify your program experience in a Unit Council
    • Risk assessment and management 
      • Have completed an element of the Achievement Pathway that requires demonstration of risk assessment and management skills – this could be from an Adventurous Journey or a relevant OAS stage.
      • Or Can attach evidence of undertaken a risk assessment and developed a risk plan for an activity

Your application will be assessed and processed individually. You will only be enrolled if you meet these requirements.

 Course numbers are limited. Applications will be accepted in order received, with preference given to those applicants having completed the pre-requisites above.
Course fees will be charged on enrolment to this course and please be aware that the course cancelation policy listed below applies.

The following cancelation policy is applicable to this training;

• Withdrawal before the Closing Date – Full refund
• Withdrawal after the closing date of the course – less $20 charge
• Withdrawal less than 5 days before the course – No refund
  (Exceptional circumstances will be considered by your RCATD)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

1. Applications must be received before the closing date advertised in the Training Calendar.
2. All prerequisites must be completed before applying and before the closing date.
3. Your basic information may be shared with the Department of Communities and Justice for the purpose of grant reporting.
