Our February Cub Camp at Camp Windeyer focuses on confidence, skills, and adventure. Cubs will meet at the hall before being ferried across the river by leaders, along with all their equipment—so please pack with transport in mind. Once at camp, Cubs will put up the tents they’ll sleep in and settle in for a campfire and supper. Please ensure your Cub has eaten dinner before arrival; no food, snacks, or fast food can be taken across the river.
Breakfast and lunch on both days will be cooked centrally in the hall, and—weather permitting—Cubs will cook their own dinner over campfire on Saturday evening. Saturday’s daytime program features fun water activities, including canoeing supervised by qualified leaders. On Sunday, Cubs will dive into bushcraft: building shelters, learning safe use of axes and saws, and preparing their cooking fires.
Pick-up is at 2pm Sunday, and it’s expected that all Cubs and parents return to the hall afterwards to help wash and pack away camp equipment. In addition, every parent is expected to take one bag of rubbish home for disposal.
Once you have submitted your registration, an invoice (summary sheet) will be generated with instructions on how to pay for this event. The following payment options will be available to you:
