Get ready for a massive OAS 6/5/4 pioneering weekend—tower, bridge, leadership and real hands-on construction! OAS 4/5 Scouts will join in with support from OAS 6, with two prep theory nights to skill up and get ready. Camp, cook, build and have an epic time.

OAS 6/5/4 Pioneering Camp – 21–22 March 2026

Build Big. Lead Strong. Scout On.

We are running an action-packed OAS 6/5/4 Pioneering Camp, with opportunities for participants working on OAS 4 & 5 to learn, build and be guided by our OAS 6 team.
Expect ropes, spars, massive constructions, teamwork and serious achievement!

Theory & Preparation Nights

To be ready to lash, build and lead, we have two mandatory theory sessions:

Theory Night 1 – OAS 6 only 10 Feb 2026
Designed for Scouts working on OAS 6 Pioneering
(Focus on advanced skills, safety, load, leadership & project planning)

Theory Night 2 – ALL participants (OAS 4/5/6) 10 March 2026
Joint learning session covering knotwork, lashing refreshers & camp preparation
OAS 6 Scouts will support and lead OAS 4/5 development

Attendance at theory nights ensures everyone arrives prepared, skilled and ready to BUILD BIG.

Camp Details

21–22 March 2026
Overnight tent camping
Major builds planned: Large Tower + Bridge + Team Projects
Cooking as a group
Hall is out of bounds Saturday & Sunday morning, grounds fully available

Gear & Requirements

 Bring standard personal camping gear
 Gloves required for rope, spars & heavy handling
 Hats mandatory – sun safe Scouting
 Participants should already be OAS 3 Bushcraft & Camping

This weekend will challenge your skills, test your teamwork and give you the chance to build something truly impressive.
