This event is taking place over 2 Saturdays. Saturday 22nd August and Saturday 12th September 2026.
Please note we are reaching out for Registered Adult Helpers, Rovers, Adults Leaders and Fellowship to support on these days. All adults on site must be registered with Scouts NSW. Ideally 2 or more adult members to join with Tristan and a minimum of 5 youth to proceed.

Prerequsite OAS bushwalking stages 1 & 2. All youth and adults require a current Scouts NSW membership number and financial status. All adults on site must be registered with Scouts NSW.
Child safety is our number one priority at Scouts NSW. Therefore, all Adult Helpers are thoroughly screened, undergo a Police Check, must hold a valid, verified Working With Children Check and undertake two online training modules to ensure the safety of our youth members.

Mackerel Beach, West Head Loop 8.6 km Circuit, 5 hrs, 4 Hard track
Start: 9:30 am Palm Beach Wharf (ferry departs at 10 am) Arrives Mackerel Beach 10:30 am
Afternoon ferry departs Mackeral Beach 4:10 pm arrives Palm Beach 4:45 pm (delays may occur)
Finish: 4:45 pm (delays may occur) Palm Beach Wharf
Fares can be purchased onboard the vessel at the time of departure. Credit/debit card transactions only, opal card not available on the ferry

Sublime Point walking track, Illawarra Escarpment State Conservation Area (reopening September 2026)
Grade 4, 1.3 km to trackhead + 0.7 km walking track (each way) Steep climb up stairs and steel ladders to escarpment lookout, good fitness and health required
Start: Austinmer Station 10 am, expect to return to Austiner Station by 2 pm, walk to beach for lunch at cafe return to station by 3:30 pm
Finish: Austinmer Station 3:30 pm (Sydney train departs 3:49 pm)
