South Met region adventurous activities team will be conducting skills sessions for youth members Scout (section and above), and leaders looking to refresh or increase their outdoor skills.
This activity will be about learning the basics of navigation including
- Reading and interpreting topographic maps
- Route planning
- Using a compass to take bearings and backbearings
- Practical activity to use navigation skills
This event is being offered on two dates, both with the same content. The other event is held on Feb 25th.
