Brief Summary:
Activity Overview Joeys, Cubs, Scouts and Venturers will be participating in canoeing and a range of land based activities, crafts and games. Details of the activity - Youth Members and their families to arrive at 9.30 am Opening parade 10.00 am. Full uniform. 1st Kyle Bay will set up flag pole and DC to lead parade. FULL UNIFORM to be worn for the start of the event.  Change out of uniform after opening parade. Activities start 10.30 am to 12.30 pm – Cubs & Joeys - water activities; Scouts - land activities Lunch 12.30 pm to 1.30 pm Youth members can do badge swapping with other Youth Activities start 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm – Cubs & Joeys - land activities; Scouts - water activities. Community event to meet other groups, introduce youth to water activities (covers some elements of OAS stages 1-3)

Cost

  • $10 fee to be paid by all attending, parents included. Payable to your group. 
  • Cost covers 1 x sausage sandwich and 1 x can of drink (Additional sausage sandwiches might be available for $3.50 and drinks for $1.50. (Subject to availability)
  •  Cost also covers use of group equipment and supports other district activities.

  • Outline any steps participants need to take before the event

Clothing & Equipment

  • Arrive in full unfiorm 
  • Youth to bring water bottle, broad brimmed hat, sunscreen, towel, rashie or shirt that can get wet and enclosed shoes to wear in the water (NOT Crocs/thongs/sandals) Change of clothes as scouts will be getting wet.
  • Suggest groups bring sun shelters. BYO chair, picnic rug.
