Brief Summary:
Come and explore one of Sydney’s best snorkelling spots — Clovelly Bay! This guided session is designed for older Scouts and Venturer Scouts, and is ideal for confident swimmers looking to experience the incredible marine life in a calm, sheltered environment. Each session includes a safety briefing, and guided exploration led by experienced leaders.

An online pre-session will also be held prior to the event to cover safety, expectations, and what to bring.

  • Participants: $10 per person

Capacity:

Each session is limited to 10 participants


Important Requirement:

Participants must be strong, confident swimmers. This is essential for safety in open water conditions.

Summer Snorkelling at Clovelly Bay

Come and explore the vibrant underwater world of Clovelly Bay! Thanks to a recent grant, all snorkelling gear will be provided — no need to bring your own equipment. The session includes a full safety briefing, equipment fitting, and a guided snorkel through one of Sydney’s most accessible and marine-rich coastal locations.


Additional Information:

Please arrive on time at the Clovelly promenade meeting point to allow for briefing and gear allocation.


What to Bring:

  • Swimwear (rashie required)
  • Change of clothes
  • Towel
  • Water
  • Snacks
  • Hat (for use before/after snorkelling)
  • Sun protection (reef-safe sunscreen preferred)
  • Water shoes (recommended for entry/exit on rocks)
  • Mask, Snorkel & Fins

Important Notes:

  • Participants must be strong swimmers and comfortable in open water.
  • Prior snorkelling experience is helpful but not required — instruction will be provided.
