Vertical Guides - Skills Currency workshop (SCT/Hume)

This Currency workshop is for those who already have a Guide (Abseil, Canyon, Cave, Rock Climbing) qualification and would like to complete, or work on, their 2-yearly skills currency refresh.

We will be covering currency tasks, including rigging, risk management, self-rescue, load transfers to another system, rescue from above, hauls, and escape from belay. You'll find a list of the tasks in the attached workbook.

Note this is a single day, with the focus on completion of tasks, capturing evidence of your currency (photos, video) and completing associated paperwork. If you don't finish everything, no worries, you can take it away to practice, or attend another upcoming day to complete. Ideally, practice prior to attending to ensure you're comfortable with the tasks.

If your currency is up to date, you're still welcome to come along and practice (or reset it). This is a great opportunity to share ideas, try new techniques, and network with your fellow Guides and Assistant Guides.
